Terms and Conditions

Reservations

In order to confirm your reservation, we would require payment for your first full night stay as a deposit, we will then send you, usually by email, a confirmation of your booking. Please do read the confirmation carefully and contact us as soon as possible if there are any queries as we cannot change the room rate or terms of your stay once a booking has been confirmed.

Overnight stays on a Friday and Saturday are restricted to a minimum of 2 nights.

We may require a larger deposit for group bookings and for stays of over seven days.


Cancellation of a Booking

Any cancellation or amendment should be confirmed by email to info@driftwoodhotel.co.uk or to the booking partner with whom the reservation was made.

For all stays where a booking is cancelled more than 14 days before the day of arrival, the deposit of 1 night will be refunded in full. For bookings cancelled within 14 days of the arrival date, the reservation will be charged in full. We will, of course, provide a refund for any nights we manage to subsequently re-sell.

On the rare occasion we need to cancel or cut short a reservation due to circumstances outside our control, we will do our best to find alternative accommodation if required, however Driftwood will not be responsible for any additional charges.

We strongly advise you to make sure you have adequate travel insurance in place.


Payment

For all reservations, payment will be due on check-out by cash or card, we do not accept cheques as payment.


VAT

VAT is included in all our prices at the current rate. If the rate of VAT increases after you have made your reservation, we will notify you of any change in the room rate prior to arrival.


Car Parking

We offer free car parking for our guests but cannot accept any liability for theft or damage to vehicles however incurred.


Pets

We are sorry but we do not accept pets. If you have a need for an Assistance Dog, please discuss your requirements the time of booking so we can be sure of allocating the most suitable room.

Restaurant

If you would like to dine with us, please do make a reservation in advance, regretfully we cannot keep tables back for hotel residents and although we will try our best, we cannot guarantee a table can be made available.

If you wish to cancel a dinner reservation, please provide us as much notice as possible as we only have a small number of tables available.

We do require credit card details for table bookings by a non-residents. Cancellation with less than 24 hours’ notice, will result in a £25 cancellation charge for each person cancelled. This charge will also be levied for No Shows.


Vouchers

Vouchers are available for purchase from our website, and are valid for twelve months from date of purchase (unless otherwise stated) for the value purchased. No cash refunds can be given if the spend is less than the value of the voucher.


Food and Drink

With the exception of baby and specialist foods by prior arrangement, only food and drink that is purchased on the premises may be consumed on the premises.


Treatments

We are usually, with reasonable notice, able to arrange beauty treatments by third party therapists in a guest’s room and the therapist should be paid by the guest. The therapists are not our employees and we take no responsibility for the treatments provided.


Arrival and Departure

Your room will be ready from 2pm of the day of arrival. Should you arrive early you are more than welcome to use the hotel’s facilities and we will do our best to get your room ready as soon as possible. On your day of departure please feel free to use your room until 11am and you are very welcome to use the hotel’s facilities for the rest of the day.


Smoking

The hotel is a no-smoking building, including the decking area.


Damage to Property

Any damage caused by any individual using the facilities of the hotel will be charged to that individual in full.


Children

All child reservations are on the same terms and conditions as adult reservations.

Children under 10 are not encouraged in the restaurant in the evening but we do offer a simple supper at 5.30pm. For parents wanting to eat with their children at this time, we offer a larger portion of the children’s menu.

Audio monitors are available, but it is the responsibility of parents to monitor and look after their children. Alternatively, we may be able to arrange for a suitably qualified babysitter to sit in the room, payment for which should be made to the babysitter.

We have a small, unsupervised playroom, adjacent to Reception which is open to young children from 9am to 6pm. Parents are responsible for supervising their children.
