Coronavirus Update

Steps towards re-uniting on the coast...

It has been several weeks since we sadly had to temporarily close the Driftwood. We are delighted to be discussing re-opening plans. As per the Prime Minister’s announcement on Sunday 10th May we are working towards re-opening our hotel and restaurant to guests on Saturday 4th July, unless the Government guidelines change.

We are now taking bookings for arrivals commencing from 4th July and can be contacted by telephone, email or through our website. We thank you for your patience and understanding at this time.

In our daily lives we are adjusting to a 'new normal', as a business we are looking to the future and the adjustments we will need to make in order to welcome our Driftwood family again.

To reassure guests looking for a much-needed 'staycation' and some Cornish sea air, we have put in place additional specific measures to ensure the health and wellbeing of our staff and guests. We will of course continue to monitor instructions and advice from the government to ensure that we comply to the guidelines and we do all we can to minimise the risk of this virus.

Until we meet again...

The Driftwood will continue to be a safe place for you to enjoy and travel. Here is a lovely review from John & Carol Stevens who stayed with us in March 2020.

"We would just like to thank you and your very professional and friendly staff for making our stay at The Driftwood this week as enjoyable as it always is.

In light of this very difficult and testing time for everyone, we felt reassured and confident all precautions possible were being taken to try and keep the Coronavirus at bay.

As for Olly and his team in the kitchen.... my goodness we have been fed well! We truly enjoyed every part of each dinner on all three evenings, from the canapés with our pre dinner drink to the petit fours with our mint tea... delicious! The kitchen now belongs to Olly!

We hope you, and everyone at The Driftwood remain in the best of health".

We look forward to welcoming you soon for a glass of Champagne and to share the delights of the Roseland. For now, please stay safe.

Best wishes from Paul, Fiona and all the team at the Driftwood.
