The Driftwood Hotel is a partnership, owned by Paul and Fiona Robinson.

What information do we collect?

We collect information about you when you make an enquiry or reservation through our website, social media and when you telephone, email or mail to make an enquiry or reservation at the hotel or restaurant. We also collect information from you when you sign up to any of our marketing communications or enter our competitions through email or mail.

  • Personal information, for example date of birth, nationality
  • Credit card details for reservation and transaction purposes
  • Any special requirements, such dietary, disability or health details

Passport details

If you provide us with any personal data relating to any third party (e.g. information about your spouse) for particular purposes, by submitting such information to us, you warrant and represent to us that you have obtained the consent of such third party to provide us with their personal data for the respective purposes.

How will the information be used?

We use the information we collect about you to process your bookings, answer your queries, process your gift voucher purchases and to provide our hotel and restaurant services and to generally enhance your experience.

Only with your consent, we will contact you via our marketing and sales channels about our products and services which we think may be of interest to you.

We may use your information collected from the website, via cookies or direct input, to personalise your visits to our website and send emails to you.

We will only share your data with trusted third parties for the purpose of marketing communications from us to you relating to the Driftwood.

Although we take reasonable care to keep your personal data secure, we cannot be held liable for any loss you may suffer from unauthorised access or loss of any data provided.  As part of our security measures, we use encryption technologies for online transactions via our booking websites.

Data retention

Your personal data will be retained for as long as it is necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it is collected or for business or legal purposes, or in accordance with applicable laws.

If you are a previous guest, staying with us before 25th May 2018, we will retain your data and continue to communicate with you until 5 years has elapsed since your last stay.

If you are a member of our email database, we will retain your data and continue to communicate with you until 2 years since you last opened an email from us.

If you contact us or stay with us after 25th May 2018, we will only communicate with you if you give us your consent.
