How to find us

by rail, road and air

British Rail runs services to both St. Austell and Truro.

The M5 Motorway and the A30 to the South West brings Driftwood within convenient driving time from both London and the Midlands.

Daily scheduled flights from London Gatwick to Newquay (flying time one hour) make weekend short stay holidays at Driftwood perfectly feasible. This service also facilitates visits from overseas guests, via Heathrow and Gatwick.

Finding Driftwood from the M5 motorway...

From Exeter, branch left at Junction 31 and join the A30, signposted Okehampton. Continue on the A30 for approximately 60 miles until you reach the end of Bodmin dual carriageway.

At the end of the Bodmin dual carriageway, do not  turn onto‑ the A30 for St.Austell and Eden, but continue along the new section of carriageway, by-passing Victoria and past the Newquay turnoff‑. Once over the brow of the hill take a discreet turn‑ left, off‑ the A30, and onto the B3275 (previously A39) following signs for Ladock. This takes you under, then over the dual carriageway.

Continue straight through Ladock. After 2 miles beyond Ladock turn right towards Truro and shortly afterwards (by Roseland Motors Garage) turn left towards St. Mawes. Carry on for approximately 1 mile then turn right onto A3078 towards Tregony/St. Mawes. Follow this road until you see Driftwood signposted. Turn left at the sign and then follow this road; after approximately 1 mile you will arrive at Driftwood, and the sea.

Finding Driftwood from St Austell...

Take the A390, do not go to Truro. Approximately 5 miles from St. Austell take the B3287 signposted Tregony then at the bottom of Tregony take the A3078 towards St. Mawes. Follow this road until you see Driftwood signposted. Turn left at the sign and then follow this road. After approximately 1 mile you will arrive at Driftwood, and the sea.
